20170628 Ryesa Reunion En Sitio II

3 parts: software, vision, and f

  • (I) 1, 2, 3 recomendaciones de software
  • (II) marketing change and culture change to target private sector
  • (III) start specifically looking at decisionmakers and decision process of clients
  • parte strategica: revision data 2 anos. We're targeting an analysis in 2 years, to see what improvements have been made, and if the goals have been made. revision of such a plan every two years?
  • financials: how do we make money cheaper for them?
  • can they have a workflow with licitations, where they *always* ask for feedback why a licitacion was rejected?
  • 50/1, 76/2
  • get to know the decisionmakers
  • get exposure to private sector
  • what are the biggest faults in bids?
  • what is the cost of a bid? (including time of the full-time guy)
  • ana maria (lider de csr?)
  • lisa fernanda (juristiction)

espinoso = thorny, difficult

  • what is the gift policy? Can we send gifts to mayors office?
  • do the mayors office ever ask questions?
  • do bids have contact information?
  • what is the proofread method of licitation? is there a proofread workflow step?
  • most projects are in bogota. there is construction site in bogota, and a few others (david knows this).
    • need to be within budget, need to meet some other criterias.
    • rup - rup registro unico proponentes

  • we can tell them to improve the cost of money, but didn't they tell us that first? And, are we actually help them out?
  • what is the existing process, how can we improve it?

http://ryesahseq.com/

  • 2 hours to create a proposal, if everything is ready in terms of documents
  • are there agencies, middle men on these markets? like interview recruiters?
  • has there been a single contract with state where you got advance payment?
  • how many people are you dealing with? 3 times per year to the same people.
  • are there middlemen?
  • do you guys say bad things about yourselves in your proposals? Do you say you specifically don't have some experience?
  • what's the review process of these licitaciones?
  • change process, review process in the team? Feedback from employees?
  • do they have a guy who oversees feedback from employees and acts on it?
  • horhe? harvey? is the proofreader, they say a single word error is not important
  • operation cost: is it even worth to send out a bid? If the cost of producing the bid is hella large, it's not worth sending. Has this been analyzed?
  • give them the recommendation to have a process of pushing through the licitacion.

-=-----

-=----- marketing

Other than improving the cost of money (by moving to private sector), what did I talk about yesterday with Carolie?

I, II, III: software recommendation, marketing to switch to private sector, politics

  • we can suggest that rather than soliciting projects, the company makes itself available for clients to come to it.
  • We recommend starting with one marketing vehicle, a cheap one, such as flyers
  • they should do some marketing research to determine the market/audience segment, all the companies in Bogota (for example) who could use their services, and try to reach them
  • this will address several points at once: improved efficiency in obtaining contracts, reducing dependency no state, and cheaper money for projects
