This is a draft document of the house rules at the Josefa house. 20161212

  • wash towels every week
  • designate a specific area for dirty clothes (a hamper or a basket). All clothes outside that area must be clean.
  • No dishes in the sink! We have empty sink policy.
  • Kitchen trash must be taken out when it's more than 3/4 full. Any trash bin must be emptied when it's more than 3/4 full.
  • Kitchen trash bag must be affixed to the basket with four pieces of duct tape, on the corners, to prevent the trash bag from falling into the basket. The duct tape is on top of the fridge.
  • After shower, remove hair from the drain.
  • If you shave, remove all hair from the sink
  • Use of bar soap is prohibited! Only liquid soap and gels
  • Trash day is Sunday. Take the trash bins out to the street on sunday, and return them behind the fence on Monday.
  • Food left for more than 1 week is subject to disposal.
  • Refer to the cleaning schedule posted on the fridge door for weekly and monthly items to clean: kitchen surfaces, bathroom surfaces, etc. Mark your initials next to the item that you have completed that week/month.
  • Vacuum your room weekly.
  • No body towels left in the bathroom. Two hand towels must be in the bathroom at all times. If a hand towel appears wet or dirty, replace it with a clean one, and move it to the area designated for dirty clothes (your hamper).
  • Kitchen floor is to be swept and mopped weekly.
  • Bathroom floor is to be swept and mopped weekly. Bathroom floor rugs (two of them) are to be washed and dried weekly.
  • Toilet is to be scrubbed weekly.
  • a task is complete only with delivery of two photos: before and after, clearly showing the difference in condition before and after a cleaning task was performed.
  • Women can wear heels in the house
  • Clear the drying area before washing dishes.
  • No food particles in the rooms! No dirty dishes or food wraps in rooms.
